2011 International Student Handbook

We are working on the new handbook for 2012 but most of the information in the 2011 version remains valid, please feel free to use it for your reference. You will receive the 2012 version when you check-in at our office in August.

The OISS International Student Handbook is a great resource for new international students. It contains valuable information that will help you to better adjust to life in Boston and Boston College. The handbook contains such topics as finding an apartment, opening a bank account, buying health insurance and getting a Massachusetts ID as well as how to get involved at Boston College and places to go in the city.  The handbook also contains articles about culture shock and cultural adjustment which you may experience as you are getting accustomed to living and studying in the U.S.  We hope you will find it helpful.
