Dorm Talks

Attention RA's! Would you like to host a Dorm Talk?

"Dorm Talk”

is an interactive program in which first-year students share their views about the issues they’re dealing with during their transition to college: relationships, friendships, safety, body image, career decisions, etc.  It usually takes about an hour (although many groups want to go longer because they love talking about these topics!).   The WRC can add additional topics based on your interests and we would love your input.  You can hold the program for just your floor, or join with another RA and include both floors.

The program requires almost no work from you, the RA, except for the following:

Your responsibilities: to find a room for us to meet (enough space to spread out, sitting on the floor) to email the WRC staff team where the meeting will take place (see contact information, below)

-to advertise the Girl Talk/Battle of the Sexes event to your floor (the WRC will send you flyers and quarter sheets)

-to coordinate snacks for the event

-to notify us if fewer than 8 people will be attending the program (8 people is the minimum for this program)

-to join in on the conversation and enjoy!
