World Fiesta

World Fiesta Day 2008

April 23rd

(April 30th Rain Date)
 world fiesta

Join us for the annual World Fiesta day as groups from various countries will be represented through craft displays, art exhibits, performances, and culinary samples.

Boston College currently hosts approximately 1100 international students and scholars representing over 100 countries. The BC AHANA student population represents 27% of the undergraduate student body. The diversity brought to the Boston College community by these individuals enriches the entire campus community in numerous ways. World Fiesta is meant to promote BC’s international and multicultural character and bring about cross-cultural awareness. World Fiesta is the only event that brings together at one time both the graduate and undergraduate student bodies with all international programs, intercultural clubs, relevant departments from around campus, and outside venders.

All clubs, organizations and groups of students whose culture is not already represented by an intercultural club are invited to participate. You may display a table featuring crafts, typical food, costumes, videos, games, posters, and related literature and brochures. You are also invited to provide live campus performers to promote the talent of your group.

Your physical involvement will be essential to make this event a success. Participating in World Fiesta will not only be a great opportunity to help build a better Boston College community, but also an opportunity to promote your club and/or organization on campus.

If you are interested in participating, complete the on-line form or contact the OISS at international.students@bc.edu. If you have any questions, please contact the OISS at 552-1662.
