The University Wind Ensemble members are chosen by competitive audition, and are highly skilled, highly motivated students, for whom making music is a personal priority. The ensemble performs the finest musical literature written for winds and percussion. |
|
The University Wind Ensemble also provides students with the opportunity to perform literature specifically designed for smaller chamber ensembles, which greatly contributes to their development, and will broaden the selection of performances for the Boston College community. Every member of the University Wind Ensemble will receive private lessons at no cost. | |
Scholarships are available by audition with the Director or by submitting a recording of an audition piece. The mission of the University Wind Ensemble is to provide students, who share a passion for making music and an opportunity to perform wind and percussion music of outstanding composers in an educational setting. |
|
| This ensemble also serves as the "parent organization" for a Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Honors Woodwind Quintet, Honors Brass Quintet, and a Percussion Ensemble, as well as a number of other mixed and like-instrument chamber ensembles. | |

The University Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Sebastian Bonaiuto, Director of Bands.
