Confirmation Preparation

Many times students arrive at Boston College and they have not received the sacrament of Confirmation. Campus Ministry offers a program every spring semester which provides the opportunity for Catholic students to prepare together to receive this sacrament. Candidates meet for faith sharing and instruction in the Catholic faith. During the small group meetings through prayer and reflection on the Scriptures, students have an opportunity to deepen their spirituality and grow in their faith. Fr Tony Penna coordinates the Confirmation Program.

The program is a series of six Sunday afternoon conversations that take place at Saint Joseph Chapel on upper campus from 12:30-1:30 PM on January 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 3, 2016. These conversations will culminate in the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Saint Ignatius Church on Boston College’s lower campus. There are no tests to take or books to read (handouts, instead). The only things required is your willingness to take a close look at your Catholic faith and ponder what it means for you to be a Catholic in today's world. You also will be asked to provide Campus Ministry with a baptismal certificate.
