Collection Announcement: February 1 and 8, 2015

Our collection the next two weeks will benefit the ministry of Covenant House. Each year in the U.S. alone, as many as 2 million youth experience a period of homelessness, and every year more than 5,000 of these young people lose their lives to the streets. Their hope and promise are lost forever unless they find someone – like Covenant House New York – to love and care for them. At Covenant House New York, the goal is to inspire homeless and at risk young people to move to safe, stable, and loving places where they can continue to live out their dreams. Covenant House New York began more than 40 years ago when six young runaways were given shelter from a snowstorm, in the lower east side of Manhattan. Today there are 21 Covenant House locations across the United States, Canada and Latin Americas – and together they serve more than 56,000 homeless young people each year. Your donation makes a big difference, please, as always, be generous. Thank you.
