Collection Announcement

Our collection for the next two weeks (February 7 and 14) will go to support the Holy Family Catholic School in Natchez, Mississippi.

For almost 20 years, a group of Boston College students have traveled down to Natchez, Mississippi to work at the Holy Family School during their spring break.  The Holy Family School is the oldest African American Catholic School in the country, yet it is struggling to meet its financial needs. At one time, the school ranged from pre-K to the 12th grade. Due to limited financial resources the school now only teaches pre-school and kindergarten (ages 2 to 5). In addition to teaching in the classroom, the BC students fill an important role at Holy Family, assisting with many large projects, such as painting, classroom improvements, building playground equipment, and whatever needs to be done for the school and the children.

Your donations will help us provide much needed support to Holy Family, in the form of supplies and more importantly scholarships to students. We appreciate your generosity.
