SLOW DOWN
15 Minutes of Peace and Quiet and Prayer - an opportunity to re-center. We gather in the chapel in Cushing (next to Room 326) on Thursdays at 4PM and conclude at 4:15. It’s a time for reflection on a small Scripture selection and for intercessory prayer. We start and conclude promptly so that you’ll be free for your next event!

VOLUNTEER
Interested in a volunteer opportunity? The Center for Volunteer and Service Learning has many possible volunteer sites. Go to: bc.edu/offices/service.

CONSIDERING CATHOLICISM?

A group gathers on Tuesday nights, 7-9, to look at the faith and practices of the Church. For more info, get in touch with Sister Mary mary.sweeney.4@bc.edu.

CATHOLIC, WITH QUESTIONS?
Oftentimes young adult Catholics would like to know more about their faith. If you would like to be part of a group who looks at various topics (liturgy, sacraments, morality, Bible, Catholic practices)  get in touch with Sister Mary. (Mary.Sweeney.4@bc.edu)

OFF CAMPUS CHURCH
Are you looking for a Sunday community for liturgy? Young adults have often found communities at St. Ignatius Parish Church at the corner of the campus, St. Cecelia’s near the Prudential Center in the Back Bay, and Our Lady, Help of Christians, on Washington Street in Newton, near the Mass Pike.

Prayer for Graduate Students
for the Beginning of the School Year

Loving God, as I begin this semester in grad school, I offer you my thanks for the gifts that you have given me. You have blessed me in numerous ways and have put good and generous people on my path.

As the semester unfolds, keep me mindful of those blessings and of the wonderful opportunities that have enabled me to be here pursuing graduate studies. When the challenges arise, keep before me the joy that brought me to my field of study and the hope that calls me to keep moving forward.

May your Spirit guide me and direct this university. I pray this through Christ, your son and my brother, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
