The 4Boston program is committed to weekly, community service in the greater Boston area. We are devoted to being "contemplatives in action," because we truly believe that action without reflection risks despair and that reflection without action risks irrelevance.
We are a student-led community dedicated to promoting spirituality, community, and social justice by:
Affirming the sacred dignity of all persons, especially the marginalized and forgotten of our society
Developing relationships of mutual respect with those we serve
Creating a greater awareness of issues of injustice and oppression which affect the lives of those we serve
Though rooted in Jesuit ideals, 4Boston welcomes and encourages students to develop in their own faith traditions by loving and serving their neighbors.
