The McNair Program has officially opened its recruitment period for sophomores and juniors. The aplication is due February 15th. For any questions please contact Gaelle Gourgues at gourgues@bc.edu.

Instructions: 

 

Complete the entire application, carefully review your information, then press submit. For a pdf version of the application click here. 

Please provide: (Additional material should be sent to 50 College Rd.)

·         Unofficial copy of your transcript

·         Two letters of recommendation: one from a professor in you major (preferably) and the other from an employer, or a person who is not a family member

·         Proof of income: a copy of last year’s tax forms from you or your parent (s)/guardian, or your student aid report (SAR) from FAFSA

·         An essay of two pages or less describing:

o       Your reasons for choosing to participate in the McNair Program

o       Your plans after graduation in regards to furthering your education and your career goals

The McNair Scholars program is a federally funded program designed to provide financial and academic assistance for low income, first generation college students as they prepare for admission to graduate and doctoral studies. A student must have completed the sophomore year to be eligible for the summer research stipend.
