Your Username and Password
You should have already received your Username, Password, and PIN from Student Services. Use these security credentials to access Agora Portal (the campus intranet), register for classes, and log in to your BC email account. Your PIN is used to access telephone services.
Important: Before you do anything else, log into Agora Portal, and click the My Services tab. Under Account and Personal Info, click Privacy Preferences Confirm/Review to set your Privacy Preferences. This is where you can determine what contact information is available to others.
Your Email account
Your BC email account is automatically generated and ready for use before you arrive on campus. You should use the email address format: email@example.com. You can look up BC email addresses in the BC Directory.
Prefer to use another email account? Forward your BC email.
BC faculty and administrators will write to you at your BC email address. If you prefer to use a different email, set your BC email account to forward.
To reduce the amount of spam you receive in your BC email account, Boston College uses a Spam Blocking Service that quarantines email it identifies as spam. Quarantined email is subject to automatic deletion. Learn more about BC's Spam Quarantine Service.
