Newton Campus

 

Newton Campus MTS supports classroom and seminar video recording, audio recording, video and audio playbacks, along with other audiovisual equipment distribution. Newton Campus MTS also assists with video conferences and performs video recordings of academic speakers, panels, and events.

 

Services

In addition to supporting the Law School, Newton Campus MTS provides support for BC Alumni & Development, University Housing, the Bureau of Conferences, and various other BC Academic and Community Groups.

To better serve you, Newton Campus MTS requests a minimum of 2 days advance notice to prepare the appropriate equipment and staffing needs for any classroom request. A minimum of 2 weeks advance notice is required for support of special events.

Newton Campus MTS provides the following services (only for Newton Campus classes and events):

  • Classroom Support
  • Portable LCD Projector
  • Laptop Computers (PC or Mac)
  • Audio CD/Cassette Players
  • Digital Audio Recorder (MP3, WMA)
  • Analog video format transfers to digital formats
  • Document Camera
  • DVD/VHS Combo Player
  • Table Top and Portable PA systems
  • Videoconference Support (Zoom, H.323 IP)

Room Technology Overview

All of the Law School's classrooms have various levels of audiovisual systems installed. You can click on the links below to find what level of AV equipment is installed in your classroom. MTS Newton Campus offers training on classroom system operations and also distributes classroom systems keys for the semester.

Panopto Lecture Capture Locations

All six Law School East Wing classrooms as well as Stuart Hall M401 (Moot Courtroom) can be scheduled for Panopto Lecture Capture by the Newton Campus MTS office. We require 2 days advance notice of your event or class in order to schedule and program the class to be recorded into the Panopto database.
