Computing Support & Training provides essential services to Boston College faculty, staff and students, including individual computing support, an education program covering the software and web-based applications used at BC, sophisticated computing labs, and computer hardware repair. Our goal is to provide members of the BC community with the resources, skills, and knowledge to effectively use information technology and enhance their productivity. Computing Support & Training services include:
- A centralized, single point of contact for questions concerning personal computing, phone, cable, and all ITS products and services. You can request assistance by phone at 617-552-HELP, via email at help.center@bc.edu, or by visiting us in O'Neill 250.
- Boston College Help Website
www.bc.edu/help, providing over 600 pages of documentation related to utilizing campus technology.
- Represent and advocate for end-user interests in planning and implementing University technology initiatives.
- Create and distribute documentation and communication for all major ITS projects.
- Free computer training for faculty, staff, and students. Topics include basic computer skills, Microsoft Office applications, and Boston College technology services. Course schedule is available at

- Onsite computer repair and troubleshooting of virus and software related problems.
- Maintain campus software licenses.
- Distribute computers to the BC community through several campus-wide efforts.
- Manage a ResNet (Residential Networking) team of student employees who work to assist their fellow students with technology.
