BlackBerry

You will have the same functionality you had with the old email and calendaring systems. It is important to backup your BlackBerry data (PDF) before making any configuration changes. You have several options to sync your BlackBerry:

  • To configure your BlackBerry for Exchange to sync calendar, contacts, and tasks with a wired connection using Outlook and BlackBerry Desktop Manager:
Configure a wired sync via Outlook and BlackBerry Desktop Manager (PDF)
  • To configure your BlackBerry for Exchange to wirelessly sync email only using a BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) account:
Configure wireless sync of email only using a BIS Email Account (PDF)
  • If you want a wireless sync of calendar, contacts, and tasks, a BC-supported, third-party product called NotifySync is available for purchase.

    NotifySync
NotifySync is a third-party application for BlackBerry used to wirelessly sync email, calendar, contacts, and tasks for Exchange. Configure a wireless sync using NotifySync (PDF). Note: Without NotifySync, calendar, contacts, and tasks can only be synced with Exchange via a wired connection to the computer.

The NotifySync application has a built-in email application that may also be configured for BC email on Exchange, although it is not required. There are several key differences between the NotifySync email application and the built-in BlackBerry BIS email application. Important: Before choosing to purchase and install NotifySync, please be aware of several limitations and known issues of NotifySync (PDF).

For additional configuration & support info, see the NotifySync Guide (PDF) or visit the NotifySync Resource website (PDF).
