Adding Anchors

Anchors are links used to jump from one part of a page to another. An example of this would be a Frequently Asked Questions page where the answer to the question would be further down on the same page.

To add an anchor:

  1.  In the BC Text Component or the BC Text Image Component, navigate to the place on the page where you want the anchor to be and click on the Anchor icon on at the top row of icons in the component.
  2. In the dialog box, name it accordingly. And remember the name as you'll need it in the next step.
  3. Highlight the text you want to use as a link to jump to the anchor. Click on the Hyperlink icon (the Globe with the small chain). Then in the "Link To" dialog box, type the name of your anchor with the "hashtag" symbol "#" before it. An example would be "#linknamehere" (without the parentheses)
  4. Click OK and preview the page to test your anchor.
