Boston College is engaged in a comprehensive effort to enhance the university's presence on the Web while streamlining the process of web site creation and maintenance.
The Day Web CMS Project will implement a new web publishing system called Day CQ5 Web Content Management. The Day CQ5 WCM system will replace the Serena Collage system as the primary tool used by BC schools, departments and offices to maintain their sites on the Boston College web server, www.bc.edu.
This project site will provide updates on the implementation and conversion process, including information on how BC sites will be migrated from Collage to Day CQ5 and how staff will receive training on the new system.
With approximately 200 web sites to convert, this project will take time and we plan to continue running the Serena Collage system in parallel with Day CQ5 until all sites have migrated to the new system.
