Seriously, Use Better Passwords

123456 should not be an option


When Adobe originally announced its security breach last month, they estimated nearly 3 million accounts may have been compromised. Now, that number is about 38 million.

Analysis of the password and password hint data revealed that many people still use simple, easy-to-crack passwords. The top 4 were:

  • 123456
  • 123456789
  • password
  • adobe123

Top password "hints" included "123" and "numbers."
