The Data and Cable Television Services group is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Cable Television system and the entire Boston College computer networking plant. Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and repair of computer network
- Systemic upgrades to CATV hardware and software
- Vendor management (Comcast)
- All moves, adds and changes
- Remote site network services (Waltham, Weston, Dorchester, Newtonville, Newton, 1280 Boylston)
- Wireless ethernet services
- Network equipment staging, configuration, and installation
- UPS systems for all network room locations
- On-call support for after-hours outages
- Troubleshooting and repair of computer network
- Technical assistance on all network services capital projects
