What is the
The Intersections Council (ICHC) is a group of students that meet weekly for the year to discuss life at BC, make friends outside their social circle, participate in a service trip, and have fun. The meetings are two hours and range from hanging out, having dinner together, to discussing topics about BC culture, prepping for the service trip, and planning the Jesuit Olympics.
What are the benefits?
You’ll have a great group of friends in different circles and have a space to talk about whats going on in your week and your life. Plus, you have the unique opportunity to travel to the Gulf Coast to immerse yourself in a new community on a service trip.
Who can be an Intersections Council member?
Intersections Council is open to all sophomores and juniors who will be available for the entire academic year. Council members will either have already attended Halftime, or will attend the Halftime in November. All Council members must be available to attend the
Since we are a part of the Intersections Project that oversees Halftime, we are looking for students who have already attended Halftime, or would be able to attend Halftime 50 from November 6th-8th.
What is the time commitment?
Responsibilities include 2-hour weekly meetings, an overnight retreat and attendance to the Gulf Coast Service trip during winter break in January.
We are looking for people to commit to the group for the whole year, so please only apply if you will be at BC for the whole year and can attend the service trip from January 11th-17th.
