Disciplinary Clearance

office of international programs

All students who wish to study abroad must have a satisfactory disciplinary record with the Office of the Dean for Student Development (ODSD).

The Office of International Programs will contact ODSD about your disciplinary standing as part of the study-abroad application process. ODSD will grant OIP disciplinary clearance enabling students to advance in the application process.

Students who have received serious sanctions (i.e., university suspension, abeyed suspension, deferred university suspension, or housing suspension) are not eligible to study abroad.

An appeal process is in place for students who currently do not meet the eligibility requirements, but feel that they should be allowed to go abroad. Students can contact their Program Manager for instructions on how to submit an appeal statement.
