Setting priorities
The academic aspect of study abroad is our first priority. Your integrated experience abroad would not be successful unless it is academically sound and structured around that idea from the beginning.
to begin with
From the start of the application process, you will be asked to observe a set of academic requirements, which are set in place by the BC deans to ensure that you will stay on track with you graduation.
closer to your departure
In the course of the advising process, our main goal is to help you academically plan your stay abroad. We want to make sure that the courses you select to take abroad will fit well within the BC curriculum and that of your individual major. Your International Study Advisor will take time to discuss course offerings abroad and guide you through the course approval process at BC, academic policies and procedures prior to your departure. Down to finances and scholarship opportunities, we want you to stay informed.
abroad and back to bc
We are also available to assist you in making decisions while you are abroad, to help you register back and stay in touch with BC. Upon successful completion of your study abroad, the Office of International Programs will also evaluate and process your transcript against your BC record with Student Services.
