Your designated International Study Advisor will review your record and notify you if you are approved to apply to the program of your choice based on the academic and disciplinary requirements.

BC Programs

Once you have been approved to apply, you will receive an email notification from OIP to pick up your application materials at Hovey House, including a checklist that will guide you through the process with the deadline by which to return your complete application to Hovey House. OIP will inform you of your acceptance as soon as confirmation is received from abroad. As a last step, students are asked to complete a set of forms for OIP.

Approved External Programs

Once you have been approved to apply, you will receive an email notification form OIP to pick up an Approval Form for External Study Abroad Programs from Hovey House. The form will require signature approval from your department. Once it is deposited back to Hovey House, you will obtain and submit your application materials directly to the program provider.

In some cases, your external program provider will require that you obtain permission from your home university to participate. Please drop off those external provider permission forms at Hovey House for approval.

You will receive notification of your acceptance directly from your external program provider. You must submit a copy of that acceptance letter to OIP. All students are asked to complete a set of forms for OIP as a last step.
