Setting priorities

The academic aspects of study abroad are your first priority. Your experience abroad will not be successful unless it is academically sound and well structured.

to begin with

From the start of the application process, you will be asked to observe a set of academic requirements, which are set in place by the BC deans to ensure that you will stay on track with you graduation. Summer courses follow a different process. For more information please click here.

closer to your departure

In the course of the advising process, our main goal is to help you with the academic planning for your study abroad. We want to make sure that the courses you select to take abroad will fit well within the BC curriculum and that of your individual major. Your International Study Advisor will take time to discuss course offerings abroad and guide you through the course approval process at BC, as well as academic policies and procedures prior to your departure.

abroad and back to bc

We are also available to assist you while you are abroad, to help you register back and stay in touch with BC. Upon successful completion of your study abroad, the Office of International Programs will evaluate and process your transcript for your BC record with Student Services.
