Study Abroad Advising

office of international programs

Planning to study abroad includes many different aspects, such as academics, finances, including scholarships, and ensuring your health and safety abroad. In order for your application to be processed smoothly, it is important that you observe essential deadlines.

Throughout the year we also offer general and program-specific information sessions which are open to all students.

Answering to student demand for more individual advising opportunities, OIP has implemented a new two-stage advising system.

First, Advising Assistants stand ready to talk with you about general aspects of going abroad. You may expect to learn about:

  • study-abroad policies & procedures
  • how to research programs
  • next steps

Then, you will meet with an International Study Advisor who is a staff member with special expertise in a given region. Your ISA will help you with the application process and will be a point of contact during your experience abroad.
