Instructional Project Process

Image of the Project Process
The project process begins when a faculty member comes to Instructional Design and eTeaching Services with an idea. After an initial conversation to determine the goals, audience, and possible models for the project, it is assigned to an instructional designer who will serve as its manager. Consulting extensively with the faculty member, the manager crafts a proposal, gathers a project team including the needed expertise, and maps out a timeline. The team meets to discuss and formally agree on a development plan, and work on the project commences. The plan incorporates review, testing and revision, as well as publicity and user training when the final product is launched. There is also provision for ongoing maintenance.
