The increased flow of information does present some new, often hard-to-trace possibilities for cheating, although an instructor's awareness of a student's work and an initial reminder of BC's policy are still effective antidotes. On the problem of web sites which offer papers students can download and turn in as their own work, see the articles in Educause's Information Resources Library, especially "Term Paper Mills, Anti-plagiarism Tools, and Academic Integrity".
