How to Post your Syllabus with eSyllabus

Instructions for Mac users

 *Please note: To ensure the best performance, we recommend that you use Safari to upload and manage your syllabus.


1.  To post your syllabus in the eSyllabus program, visit the Student Services eSyllabus page.

2.  Once your syllabus is posted to eSyllabus in the Agora portal in the “Course Information and Schedule” section,  you should see a white “View Syllabus” icon next to your course when the vertical tan bar is expanded. Click on this “View Syllabus” icon. A new window should open with your eSyllabus syllabus.

3.  To view the web address bar, click “View” in the Safari toolbar and choose “Show Toolbar.”

 4.  Using your mouse, select the entire URL.

 5.  From the Safari toolbar, select Edit and then Copy.

 6.  In a new window or tab, sign in to Blackboard Vista through the Agora portal or by visiting http://cms.bc.edu

 7.  Once you have signed in and selected your course, click on the Add Content Link button.  Select Web Link and then Create Web Link.

 8.  Here, enter a title for the link to your eSyllabus. Then scroll down to find the Web Address (URL) space.  Delete the "http://" to clear this space and then paste the URL that was copied from eSyllabus.

 9.  The link to your eSyllabus should now be on your Blackboard Vista course homepage.  To preview your syllabus, click the action link (small grey box to the right of the title) and click “Preview.”
