Using BC Apps on Windows using Chrome

If you are using BC Apps on Chrome on Windows, and have not used the Citrix Reciver previously on that device, you may see a message prompting you to download an ICA file. If this occurs, follow these steps.

Additionally, you can contact the Help Center or vist the Walk-In Help Desk in O'Neill 316 for assistance.

  1. Do one of the following.
    • Windows 10: Open the Start menu and begin typing Default Programs in the search field. Click the Default Programs link in the search results.
    • Windows 8: Run a search, enter default programs, and click Default Programs.
    • Windows 7 or Vista: Click the Windows button in the taskbar, and then click the Default programs link.
  2. Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
  3. Scroll down the list and highlight .ica.
  4. Click the Change program button and select Citrix Connection Manager.

You are now configured to run BC Apps. If Citrix is not available in the list, follow the steps below:

 

Windows 10

  1. Click the More apps link. If Citrix is still not listed, click the Look for another app at the bottom of the list.
  2. Browse to one of the following locations.
    • If you’re running a 32-bit operating system, browse to C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client, select wfcrun32.exe, and click Open.
    • If you’re running a 64-bit operating system, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client, select wfcrun32.exe, and click Open.
  3. Click Close to close the dialogs.

 

Windows 8

  1. Click the More programs button. If Citrix is still not listed, click the Look for another appat the bottom of the screen.
  2. Browse to one of the following locations.
    • If you’re running a 32-bit operating system, browse to C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client, select wfcrun32.exe, and click Open.
    • If you’re running a 64-bit operating system, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client, select wfcrun32.exe, and click Open.
  3. Click Close to close the dialogs.

 

Windows 7 or Vista

  1. Click the Browse button and browse to one of the following locations.
    • If you’re running a 32-bit operating system, browse to C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client, select wfcrun32.exe, and click OK.
    • If you’re running a 64-bit operating system, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client, select wfcrun32.exe, and click OK.
  2. Click Open and then click OK.
