Limiting access to your files and sharing with non-BC people
using tickets
Summary:  Using tickets you can limit access to a file by length of time or number of visits. You can also use a ticket to share a file with non-BC people and to allow temporary access to your files without editing a file's permissions. On this page, learn how to use tickets.

To create tickets to limit access to your files & share with non-BC people:

  1. Locate the folder where your file is. Learn about navigating folders.

  2. Next to the file, click the Info icon:

  3. Click the Tickets link (see Figure 1).

  4. Click the Create Ticket (see Figure 2).

  5. On the Create ticket page, do the following (see Figure 3):
    • In Define Permissions, select whether to allow Read or Read and Write access to this file.
    • In the Lifetime options, select whether to allow Unlimited visits or Limited visits
      • If you select Limited to, be sure to specify the limit.
    • Click OK.

  6. A hyperlink to this file appears (see Figure 4), which you can copy and paste into an email or a document. Note: Because the link only points to a specific file, that file can be changed or edited over the lifetime of the ticket so that any time someone clicks on the link, the correct and most current version of that file appears.

  7. To email a link to this file, click the Email icon (see Figure 5).

Viewing or deleting tickets

To view or delete tickets:

  1. Locate the folder where your file is. Learn about navigating folders.

  2. Next to the file, click the Info icon:

  3. Click the Tickets link (see Figure 7) to see a list of tickets for the file.

  4. To delete a ticket, click the Delete icon:  (see Figure 8).

  5. To return to the file management page, click Back The Back button..
