Formatting Text in Collage

To Format Text on a Web Page:

  1. Select the Edit tab (see Figure 1).

  2. Add content to the page.
  3. Use Edit toolbar to format text (see Table 1).
    Button Description
    Checks spelling in the current field, and suggests corrections. Note: Each text field must be spell checked separately.
    Bolds selected text.
    Italicizes selected text.
    Underlines selected text.
    Applies font color to selected text, when clicking the button a list of all possible colors are displayed.
    Changes the font size of selected text. When clicking the button a list of all possible text sizes are displayed.
    Changes selected text to a different font. Clicking this button displays all possible fonts.
    Applies a pre-defines style to the current paragraph or heading. Clicking this button displays a list of all possible styles. To remove a style you will have to delete and retype the text.
    Aligns selected text to the left, right, or center.
    Indents the current paragraph.
    Removes indents from the current paragraph.
    Enables you to create, define, and modify a table.
    Converts selection to a bulleted or numbered list item.
    Note: To remove items from a list format, click the outdent button.
    Enables you to insert an HTML anchor in text fields.
    Allows you to set accessibility options in your page that help accessiblity software, such as screen readers, navigate the text.

  4. Click Save on the Edit toolbar.
    Note: Your changes will not automatically save unless you click the save button before exiting or refreshing.
  5. Click the Preview tab to see the page as it will appear on the web (see Figure 2).

  6. Click Exit.

 

To Remove Formatting from Text:

  1. Select the text you want to change.
  2. Click the Clear Formatting link (see Figure 3).

Spacing after Paragraphs:

There is always an extra line after a paragraph in a Web document.
To eliminate the extra line after a paragraph:

  1. Press [Shift] + [Enter] on the keyboard at the end of the paragraph.

 

Undoing/Redoing Changes:

To undo changes to a Web Page:

  1. Select Edit from the menu bar.
  2. Click Undo.

To redo changes to a Web Page:

  1. Select Edit from the menu bar.
  2. Click Repeat.
