Reading your email
To read your Apple Mail email:
- Open Apple Mail.
- When Apple Mail prompts you to log on, enter your Boston College username and password, then click OK.
Apple Mail opens your email account, displaying the contents of your Inbox. - Click any message to read it.
Apple Mail automatically updates your Inbox when new messages arrive for you.
Creating a signature for your outgoing emails
To create a signature for your outgoing emails:
- From the Mail menu, select Preferences.
The Preferences window appears. - Click Signatures (see Figure 1).

- Click Add Signature.
- Do the following (see Figure 2):
- In the Description box, enter a name for the signature.
- Enter your signature in the text area, then click OK.

The new signature you created is listed on the Signature window. - On the Signature window, click Show signature menu on compose window (see Figure 3).

Apple Mail provides extensive online help. For additional information about Apple Mail, on the Help menu, select Mail Help.
