AHANA Graduate Student Association

Dear Graduate Students,

On behalf of Graduate AHANA, Co-Presidents Dana Mars and Damian Waite we are excited to offer best wishes for a wonderful academic year! So what is graduate AHANA? We are a student organization on campus that seeks to foster amongst all graduate and professional students of AHANA descendants and their allies a welcoming Boston College that fosters the growth and potential of AHANA students in fellowship, academics, celebrations, representation and leadership while studying at Boston College.

This year, the executive board of Graduate AHANA will focus on fostering a more vibrant and visible partnership amongst the graduate and professional schools within Boston College. We are excited to announce that in late September we will be organizing a round-table event for Graduate AHANA students and their allies to gather in fellowship and to brainstorm ways students of color at Boston College can meet around a common purpose.

Other events being planned for the year include our inaugural lecture and dinner with a notable speaker from the Diaspora, as well as a one day research conference to highlight the intellectual life of Graduate AHANA students at Boston College.

The executive board of Graduate AHANA would like to invite you to get involved in the organization. For more information and to join our listserv, please email either, Damian Waite at waiteda@bc.edu, Dana Mars at marsd@bc.edu

Best Wishes,

Damian Waite, Dana Mars (co-presidents)
