The Graduate Student Association (GSA) of Boston College is a student-run organization which serves graduate students in the College of Arts and
Sciences, the Lynch School of Education, the Connell School of Nursing, the Graduate School of Social Work, the Carroll School of Management, and the School of Theology and Ministry.
Additionally, the GSA coordinates the function and activities of the AHANA Graduate Student Association, and the Graduate International Student Association (GISA). The GSA serves two primary purposes: to provide programming to meet graduate student needs and advocate within the greater Boston College community for issues of import to graduate students.

Leadership and Offices
Membership on the GSA Council, the primary planning and advocacy body of the organization, is open to any graduate student in good standing in one of the constituent schools. The GSA is lead by an elected Executive Board consisting of a President, Vice-President and Financial Director, and by a Senate consisting of one member each from the constitute schools, plus AHANA GSA and GISA. The GSA is advised by and an active partner of the Office of Graduate Student Life. GSA offices are located in the Murray Graduate Student Center at 292 Hammond Street across Beacon Street from Middle Campus.

Activities
The activities of the GSA are coordinated by seven different committees, each of which has a unique focus that speaks to the mission of the organization. Membership on GSA committees is open to any member of the graduate student body in good standing at the University. Committee activities are coordinated by dedicated chairpersons. Becoming a member of a GSA committee is a great way to meet new people, contribute to the Boston College community and get a sense of how the University runs. The GSA Committees
Community Service Committee: Organizes opportunities for graduate and professional students to give back to the greater Boston Community.
Individual Research and Conference Grant Funding Committee:
Scholarship & Excellence Committee: Develops initiatives and organizes programming related to intellectual, scholarly and academic life.
Social Committee: Develops and organizes social programming for graduate students that address a broad range of social and community building interests.
Group Grant Funding Committee: Distributes funds to be used by graduate student for projects that reach a broad audience of graduate students to enhance our intellectual, academic, social or cultural lives.
Spirituality Committee: Provides multi-faith programming to address the religious and spiritual needs of the diverse graduate student body. Develops programming to increase awareness of Jesuit educational values.
