Unplugged: Women's Wilderness Weekend
a summer camping trip for women
The applications for Unplugged Weekend 2012 are now closed.
Unplugged is a free weekend away to connect with other female students and staff while discussing what it's like to be a woman at Boston College.

Participants will explore the outdoors--canoeing, hiking, and swimming--and will have the opportunity to share their experiences with others. There will also be time to reflect and have real conversations with other BC students and staff.
Application Process:
- Application deadline: Sunday April 22nd at 11:59pm.
- Immediately after filling out your application, be sure to sign up for an interview (Skype interviews are available for those abroad; contact bodnera@bc.edu to set something up).
- There will also be a mandatory meeting for selected participants on Monday, May 7th, 2012.
Quotes from past participants:
"I can't even begin to describe how incredible this trip was. The friendships that were created are so much deeper than I could imagine. While giving me a chance to escape from the same old day to day stuff, I was able to focus on me, yet share and empathize with others. It was such a powerful and rewarding experience."
"Everyone was so open and supportive of each other. I finally got to really think about topics that haven't received the time they need. It was inspiring and emotional; I wouldn't have changed a thing."
"Unplugged weekend was a great experience. It broke up the monotony of the summer and was an unexpected breath of fresh air. Although I was unsure about my decision to come before arriving, I am glad I came and would not have traded it for anything. The weekend made me think about my experience at

BC in new lights and I believe helped me to grow as a person. I would definitely recommend this trip to others in the future!"
