Senior Consiliums
a wine and cheese series
Are you a senior looking to share your thoughts on the transition to life after BC with other students?
Trying to navigate decisions and callings – big job in a new city or a year of service work?
Would you like to hear from faculty and staff who have been through it all and survived?
Become a Senior Consilium Host!
Consiliums are an opportunity for seniors to invite their friends and classmates to engage with a BC faculty or staff member, over wine and cheese, on a topic related to their discernment process. Participants can share their excitements as well as hesitations for life after BC. Share these ideas with adult mentors and ask them how they discovered “What brings you joy” and what decisions they faced in getting to where they are today.
What is required of a Consilium Host:
Attend a training with Alyson (Student Formation Graduate Assistant)
Invite a faulty or staff member to serve as your “co-host”
Find a date that work for you and your co-host
Find a location and 5-8 fellow seniors to attend the event
Pick up your "Consilium kit" from the Center for Student Formation (includes cheese, crackers, pepperoni, and wine)
Past Consilium Co-Hosts:
Bonnie Rudner, English
Thomas Kaplan-Maxfield, English
Belle Liang, LSOE, Adolescent Psychology
Kerry Cronin, Perspectives, Lonergan Center
Eric Strauss, Biology
Ethan Sullivan, CSOM
Cameron Smith, Residential Life
