Paint Shop

Painting needs are also evaluated by Inspectional Services. Inspections include the review of both interior and exterior paint conditions. Deficiencies are identified and addressed in concert with the occupants schedule constraints. The Facilities Services Paint Shop is responsible for the implementation of painting needs on campus. During the summer, the shop focuses on Residence Hall restorations and preparations for the return of students. Throughout the year, the shop performs classroom improvements, special event preparation and support, academic building work and oversees all wall and ceiling restoration projects. An example of ceiling restoration work can be seen in Gasson Rotunda. The shop’s expertise ranges from fine detailed woodwork to restoring the walls in our most historic buildings.
