Office of the Executive Vice President
Welcome to the Executive Vice President's web site.
Some of the major projects we are currently focused on:
In January 2016 Boston College embarked on the University Strategic Planning Initiative (USPI)—a new strategic planning effort to identify institutional priorities for the next decade. USPI co-chairs Executive Vice President Michael J. Lochhead and Provost and Dean of Faculties David Quigley will work with a steering committee composed of deans, faculty, senior administrators, and students to assess progress made on Boston College’s previous strategic planning effort and to identify new strategic priorities.
The campus master plan reinforces the priorities of the strategic plan and the mission of Boston College by shaping the physical environment of the campus to create the space and facilities required to implement the strategic initiatives.
A new department within the Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment Department of Boston College. Administrative Program Review, currently in development, will coordinate the program review process of administrative departments.
Business Continuity Planning is the process of developing a plan of action, and utilizing it to restore an organization's operational capabilities following a disaster or other emergency that curtails that operation. It is an extension of emergency response that begins when the situation is stabilized and continues until the organization is returned to normal operations.
The University Core Systems Task Force has been charged with developing recommendations for an overall approach and for establishing priorities for replacing BC's student information systems with applications that are state-of-the-art and student centered.
