Voter Registration

Need to register to vote?

(note: you can only be registered at one address at a time)

1. Register with your home address in your home state.

Once you have registered, request an absentee ballot to be mailed to your school address. States have different deadlines for requesting and receiving absentee ballots, check out your state’s requirements here.

2.  Register in the state of Massachusetts, using your school address:
Click here to find the MA Voter Registration Form

  • Print out a copy of the form and fill it out.
If you live on-campus, the format of your address should follow:

    140 Commonwealth Avenue,
    Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

  • Attach a document that proves your MA address: acceptable documents include copies of a utility bill, MA driver’s license, state ID card, a paycheck or paystub, or a government-issued check (Don’t have any of these? Log onto Agora Portal; under the “Academics and Courses” tab click “Enrollment Certification Request” and fill out the form. Or you can stop by Student Services in Lyons 101 for additional assistance. Your most recently updated term address will be printed on this document.)

The first time that you go to vote you should bring this form of identification with you to verify your Massachusetts residency.

    Mail the completed form to:

    Election Commission
    1000 Commonwealth Avenue
    Newton, MA 02459
