As a Senior Instructional Designer at the CTE, Keisha’s areas of interest include critical pedagogy, student engagement, the critical evaluation of faculty development programs, and schooling and access to higher education. Prior to joining the CTE, Keisha served as a Faculty Development Specialist and graduate level Higher Education program coordinator for a university in the Caribbean.
Keisha Valdez holds both a B.A. in English and an M.Ed. in Education from Howard University. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from George Washington University. Keisha has worked in the field of education for over twenty years in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, university instructor/lecturer, teacher educator, and academic liaison.
