In the CTE, Jorge provides support to the evaluation of Boston College faculty educational innovations by reporting on survey data, and collaborating in the design of measurement instruments and research design and associated activities. As a PhD student at the Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation program at the Lynch School of Education, Jorge also serves a board member and co-founder of Teach for Colombia.
Jorge has a professional experience of 19 years in the education sector, during which he has served in several different leadership, research, teaching and consultancy positions. He holds a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia, his native city. Jorge's professional interests focus on the professionalization of teaching (from elementary to higher education) and in rigorous qualitative and quantitative methodologies for evaluating educational and social interventions.
