If you suspect that your University owned computer has suffered a hardware failure, contact the Help Center, 617-552-HELP, or your

Personally Owned Computers
Boston College faculty, staff, and students can bring their personally owned computer to the Hardware Repair Center during regular business hours.
Service rates apply to cover parts and labor on non-warranty computers.
On average, a hardware repair takes approximately five business days. Repair times vary according to the number of repairs, availability of parts, extent of the repair, and the time of year.
Onsite service is provided for specific printer models. Contact the Help Center, 617-552-HELP, or your
Technology Consultant to arrange for a technician to come to your department.
Toner Recycling Program for Laser Printers
For technology equipment (ex: monitors, printers, and computers with no confidential or sensitive data) that does not have data stored in it and has no risk of confidential information being exposed, a member of your department can request pick up and disposal of old equipment through the normal Facilities Work Order process. This does not require the assistance of a Technology Consultant.
For the removal of any technology equipment that has data stored on it, contact your
Technology Consultant.
