The Commencement Office sends out Frequently Asked Questions to parents over the summer in June; booking a hotel reservation and guaranteeing it with a credit card is strongly encouraged at this time. In mid-December, the Office of Student Services emails the Student Commencement Planning Guide I to undergraduate and graduate students. The Commencement Guide for Graduates and Their Families, a booklet which provides detailed information, logistics and locations for Commencement events is sent by the Commencement Office to parents of undergraduates in late March or early April. At approximately the same time, a companion booklet, the Student Commencement Planning Guide II, and a packet of five generic invitations, is distributed to all undergraduate and graduate students who will be participating in Commencement. Students should contact their Dean or the Office of Student Services if they do not receive mailings. Both Student Guides I and II are available on the Student Services web site.
