Invitations & Personalized Announcements
Invitations - A packet of five generic invitations is distributed directly to the graduates either by the Deans' Offices of the various Schools or the Office of Student Services. In late March or early April, the Deans' Offices will notify students about invitation distribution and Commencement instructions. In early May a limited number of extra invitations is available to meet special requests. Please note that these invitations are not used as tickets and are not required for admission to any Commencement ceremony or activity.
Personalized Announcements - Personalized announcements of graduation are available through the Boston College Bookstore for those who are interested. Information is mailed from the Bookstore in mid-January. To order by phone, call 800-978-0978. To order online, visit www.bc.edu/bookstore. Orders may be picked up at the Bookstore in mid-April. Or, if requested in advance, the announcements may be mailed to your home address.
Rain Tickets for the Main Ceremony and Diploma Ceremonies
Main Ceremony - Alumni Stadium (There is open seating, no limit to the number of guests and no tickets necessary if held in Alumni Stadium.) Rain site: Conte Forum (Rain tickets (2 RTs) may be picked up at cap and gown distribution. Additional guests may view the main ceremony on closed circuit TV at alternate rain sites.) Each graduate will be given two rain plan tickets for the main ceremony. Due to very limited seating, there are no extra tickets. Only rain plan tickets will be honored.
Individual School/College Diploma Ceremonies - This year, raintickets will be used for the following diploma ceremonies: A&S (5 RTs), LSOE (4 RTs), LGSOE (4 RTs), and CSOM (4 RTs). Rain tickets will not be used for: GA&S, CGSOM, CSON, CGSON, GSSW and WCAS. Rain tickets for the A&S and CSOM diploma ceremonies will be distributed at the cap and gown distribution site. Rain tickets for the LSOE/LGSOE diploma ceremony will be distributed by the Dean. Information will be sent to students in the Student Guide in April.
