MONDAY, MAY 24- COMMENCEMENT DAY
9:30 a.m. - Academic Procession
10:00 a.m. - University Commencement Exercises (main ceremony)
Alumni Stadium
There is open seating, no limit to the number of guests and no tickets necessary if held outdoors in Alumni Stadium.
Rain site: Conte Forum
Rain tickets (2 RTs) may be picked up at cap and gown distribution. Additional guests may view the main ceremony on closed circuit TV at alternate rain sites.
12:00 p.m.- Individual School/College Diploma Ceremonies
(Individual School/College Diploma Ceremonies are held at separate sites for each School. Rain tickets are necessary for A&S (5 RTs), LSOE (4 RTs), LGSOE (4 RTs) and CSOM (4 RTs). Information will be sent to students in April in the Student Guide. Rain tickets for the A&S and CSOM Diploma Ceremonies will be distributed at the cap and gown distribution site. Rain tickets for the LSOE/LGSOE Diploma Ceremony will be distributed by the Dean.
Commencement Exercises are a two-part ceremony. The University Commencement will start with the procession at 9:30 a.m. followed by the ceremony at 10:00 a.m. and takes approximately two hours; it is followed immediately after by Individual School/College Diploma Ceremonies around noon which are completed by 2:00 p.m. The University Commencement is attended by all graduates. The President addresses the graduates, confers honorary degrees, and, through student representatives, confers the appropriate degrees on all graduates. The Commencement Speaker delivers the Commencement address. Diplomas are distributed to graduates at the diploma ceremonies.
