Commencement at Boston College

Welcome Class of 2018 Graduates!
The 142nd Commencement of Boston College will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in Alumni Stadium. Commencement Exercises are a two-part ceremony. The University Commencement (main ceremony) will start with a procession at 9:05 a.m. All graduates should be in assembly areas by 8:15 a.m. The academic procession into Alumni Stadium for the University Commencement will begin at 9:05 a.m. At the conclusion of the University Commencement, graduates and their guests will go to the assigned locations for the individual school/College Diploma Ceremonies at which diplomas are awarded.
2017 Commencement Speaker and HDRs
United States Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, a respected advocate for children and families and one of America's most prominent Catholic politicians, addressed the Class of 2017 at the University's 141st Commencement Exercises on May 22.
University President William P. Leahy, S.J., presented Casey with an honorary Doctor of Laws degree at the ceremony.
In addition, the University presented honorary degrees to: longtime Boston-area community activist Amy Guen M.S.W. '52; Tiffany Gueye '00, Ph.D.'07, CEO of non-profit organization BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life); film and television star Chris O'Donnell '92; and Fr. Leo B. Shea, M.M. '60, missioner for Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers.
Some 4,000 Boston College students received their undergraduate and graduate degrees at separate ceremonies held around campus after the main Commencement event.

Boston College Law School Commencement
