2013 Commencement Speaker and Honorary Degree Recipients
Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny addressed this year’s graduates at the 137th annual Boston College Commencement Exercises on May 20.
BC also presented honorary degrees to James A. Woods, S.J., founding dean and namesake of the University’s Woods College for Advancing Studies; Wayne Budd, former US attorney and long-time BC trustee; Cornelia Kelley, headmaster emerita of Boston Latin School; and Mary Lou DeLong, who served in several key administrative roles at BC.

2014 Commencement
The 138th Commencement of Boston College will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in Alumni Stadium. Commencement Exercises are a two-part ceremony. The University Commencement (main ceremony) will start with a procession at 9:15 a.m. All graduates should be in assembly areas by 8:15 a.m. The academic procession into Alumni Stadium for the University Commencement will begin at 9:15 a.m. Family and guests should be seated by that time. This will be followed by individual School and College Diploma Ceremonies. All should be completed no later than 2:00 p.m.

The Law School commencement ceremony wias held on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., in Conte Forum on the Chestnut Hill Campus. For more information, please visit the Law School Commencement webpage.
