Father MonanJ. Donald Monan, S.J., came to the university from the deanship and a vice presidency at LeMoyne College in upstate New York. He spent the next 24 years - until July 31, 1996 - leading BC through a dramatic transformation into one of the most successful and admired universities in the nation.
