The career treks take place on the third day of Endeavor, Friday, January 12. Career Treks are two-hour site visits to organizations in the Boston area. They provide an opportunity for students to gain an understanding of various opportunities within a given organization and how the skills gained in their Liberal Arts education may align with these opportunities. They will also observe daily operations with the organization they visit.
Through the Endeavor Liberal Arts Career Treks, students will learn to:
1. Identify one to two aspects of how the student’s skillset aligns with the needs of an industry or organization.
2. Describe one to two next steps to take in order to pursue a career in a given industry.
3. Observe and reflect on how the organization’s environment (size, layout, culture, hierarchy) align with their interests, values, and personality.
