• MDP Diversity Internship Program
  In summer 2009, the Massachusetts Democratic Party will start its second class for its Diversity Internship Program.  Our Democratic values of social and economic justice require that policy creation and public leadership involve individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, economic and geographic backgrounds and circumstances. Program participants will have the opportunity to transform from objects of public policy into architects of public policy. This is an 11 week paid, full-time internship.  Interns are paired with mentors who are successful in the public service realm such as in state government, public policy, non-profit, organized labor, private and political settings.

• WGBH TV Pledge Production Internship
  WGBH Pledge Production goes live 50-60 times a year and is responsible for producing live fundraising breaks which are built around various programs during three televised pledge drives each year. In the interim, we produce fundraising spots for use during upcoming pledge drives. Our team is looking for an intern to assist in all phases of production. Qualified candidates will possess computer skills (Mac skills are a plus), including online research skills, a basic knowledge of studio/field production, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organization, and initiative. All majors welcome to apply

• Second Nature Paid Internship in Higher Education
  Second Nature is seeking students from minority backgrounds to work on multiple projects involving sustainability in higher education as part of our Diversity Interns Program. Interns will conduct research, information gathering, and assist with the development of several new national programs focused on advancing green building at under resourced colleges and universities (including minority serving institutions and community colleges).
  Experience range - undergraduate seniors, graduate students, recent graduates (3.0 GPA or higher)

• PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Exceed Program
  This program offers African American, Latino/Hispanic and Native American students the opportunity to participate in an internship between sophomore and junior year of college. Also included is a $3,000 scholarship and participation in PwC's annual Diversity in Business Leadership Conference, a dynamic, two day conference filled with enthusiasm, energy and emotion.
  Experience range - freshman or sophomore with strong academic standing (3.2 or higher GPA) interested in accounting, management information systems or computer science
  Commitment - summer
  Application Deadline - September through December; scholarship winners announced in April of every year.
  
• Summer Law and Undergraduate Clerkship Program
  This is a highly competitive program that recruits approximately eight law and undergraduate students from an applicant pool of over 300 applications for the summer clerkship program. Decisions are often based on the written applications and interviews are not necessarily given. Unfortunately, the position is an unpaid/uncompensated position. They will assist you in finding funding resources and housing.

• The Washington Internship Program
  Students select internships according to their areas of interest, such as government, the media, and national institutions in a variety of fields, federal agencies, and private industries. International relations, journalism, law, medicine, public relations, business, the arts, science, education, and counseling, are among the many specialties that students pursue.
  Experience range - undergraduate/graduate students, college graduates
  Commitment - semester (fall, spring, summer) or full year

• Microsoft Interning Program
  This internships is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in the computer software industry. The positions include: program manager, software design engineer, software design engineer in test, and software test engineer. Also, internships in finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and user assistant & education are also available. All positions are located in Redmond, Washington (13 miles from Seattle) or Silicon Valley, CA.
  Experience range - depends on position
  Commitment - minimum of 12 weeks

• Xerox College Experiential Learning Programs
  Xerox offers paid summer internships, Co-op (active year round) and Work/Study programs. Internship-for-Credit (unpaid) positions are also offered, in which a student visits Xerox for research or learning/training experience.

  Commitment - varies depending on position: minimum 10 weeks, maximum of a full year

• US India Political Action Committee (USINPAC)
  USINPAC is a united, strong and clear voice representing the Indian American community on Capital Hill and the White House. The organization promotes issues that are shaped by the emerging concerns of the Indian American Community. Unpaid, volunteer positions include: Media/Communications Program Director, Researcher/Analyst, State Grassroot Leaders, Presidential Campaign Volunteer, Volunteer Journalist, Event Coordinator, Director - State/Local Government Advocacy, and President, USINPAC Youth Committee.

• The Ad Club
  The Ad Club's Diversity Internship Program is looking for students interested in pursuing a career in advertising or communications.  Twelve students are selected for summer internships at some of the most well-known agencies and brands in New England - this year's companies include Digitas, Staples, Harvard Magazine, Arnold Worldwide, FitCorp, and more.  All positions are located in or around Boston. It is a paid internship. Students will receive $3,500 for the period, for 40 hours a week for ten weeks in the summer.
  Experience range - college juniors and seniors, and graduate students
  Commitment - June 2 through August 8

• Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. (QARI)
  QARI is a new not-for-profit organization based in Quincy, MA (just south of Boston on the water and the "T" Red Line) whose mission is to foster and promote the development of the social, cultural, economic and civic lives of Asian Americans to benefit the entire community. Volunteer positions include: ESOL tutors, computer class volunteer instructors, translators, bilingual outreach, and festival volunteers.

• Second Nature Program Manager Position
  Under the leadership of the President and Vice President and reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Program Manager for the Advancing Green Building initiative will manage Second Nature’s involvement in outreach and education to advance green building in higher education across the United States. The Project Manager position is a full time temporary position (five days, 40 hours per week), with pay and benefits commensurate with experience. The position is funded for two years. This position Requires working presence in the downtown Boston Second Nature office, with some telecommuting and occasional travel.   The Choice Program of The Shriver Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County is a community-based, family-centered, comprehensive case management approach to delinquency prevention with the goal of fostering healthy development and resiliency among youth who face adverse risk factors in their daily lives.  Community Service Learning Fellowship (Caseworker) employment opportunity available.  A living allowance of $22,200, healthcare benefits, deferred student loans, and a $4,725 AmeriCorps Education Award.   These workshops are held in the Career Center with Dom DeLeo, Associate Director, to review an effective approach to admissions questions and usually last one hour. Please call ahead to reserve your place as seating is limited: 617-552-3644.
  
• The Boston College Law School Locator
  The Locator can help you identify schools where your scores and grades are most competitve for admission and help you gauge your chance of admission at a particular school. The Boston College Law School Locator lists the 25th to 75th percentile LSAT scores and GPA ranges of first year classes at accredited law schools, entering in the fall of 2008. The chart is useful in evaluating law school choices but cannot determine where you should or should not apply.

• Ph.D Project
  The Ph.D. Project began its mission in 1994 to increase the diversity of business school faculty by attracting African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans and Native Americans to business doctoral programs, and providing a network of peer support throughout the programs. It is not a doctoral program, but rather an information clearinghouse for underrepresented minorities who are interested in pursuing a business Ph.D. to become a business school professor.
  
• Peace Corps
  Master's International (MI)
  MI has made the truly unique opportunity of complementing a master's degree with overseas service available in a variety of fields at over 40 academic institutions nationwide. As a prospective student, you will apply simultaneously to both the Peace Corps and the participating graduate school(s) of your choice. After being accepted by both, you will complete a year to two years of graduate course work at your respective university while continuing to prepare for work overseas.
  
  Fellows/USA
  Fellows/USA is a graduate fellowship program that offers financial assistance to former Volunteers who wish to earn professional certification, master's or doctoral degrees in a variety of subject areas. Former Volunteers also complete paid internships in underserved U.S. communities where they gain valuable on-the-job training while helping meet local needs that would otherwise go unmet.

• Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation - Gates Millenium Scholars
  GMS was established to provide outstanding low income African American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline area of interest. Continuing GMS Scholars may request funding for a graduate degree program in one of the following discipline areas: education, engineering, library science, mathematics, public health or science.

• Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship
  This fellowship was established in 1987 to provide college graduates with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security. Twice yearly, the Fellowship's Board of Directors selects a small group of outstanding individuals to spend six months in Washington. Supported by a monthly stipend, the Fellows serve as full-time project assistants at the participating organization of their choice.

• Monster.com’s Diversity Leadership Programs
  We are seeking outstanding Boston College business undergraduates to join us at Monster.com’s Diversity Leadership Programs (Monster DLP), a national leadership and career building conference series.  These summer programs are sponsored by over 25 leading companies and other several organizations that are eager to meet top business students.  These companies include, but are not limited to PricewaterhouseCoopers, New York Life, Dell and Hewlett Packard.

• Graduate Newspaper Fellowship and Apprenticeship for Minorities
  Newhouse Fellow Program for Minorities offers this fellowship for those interested in the Newhouse School's magazine, newspaper, and online journalism master's degree program. Fellows receive free tuition, a part-time reporting and editing internship in Syracuse at The Post-Standard, $1,400 monthly stipend, health insurance coverage, moving expenses to Syracuse up to $1,500, travel expenses to professional conferences up to $800, academic expenses up to $1,000, and a full-time paid internship after graduation for one year as a reporter at a Newhouse newspaper.

• Accenture 2009 Scholarship Program for Minorities
  This scholarship program was created to encourage minorities to pursue degrees in engineering, computer science, and a variety of programs related to information systems and decision or management sciences. Scholarship awards of $2,500 are awarded to outstanding students for undergraduate study. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time students in at least two semesters of the 2009-2010 school year to receive the full award. .
