Sponsored by Running Press Publishers, is a $2,500 award for the twentysomething who proposes the most gutsy and worthwhile adventure. The winner could be anything from a health educator in Thailand, to a ski instructor in Switzerland, to an organic farmer in New Mexico. The most crucial pre-requisite is a passion for something that the 9-5 grind doesn't offer.

Fellows serve at U.S. diplomatic or consular missions in Eastern Europe, Russia or the Newly Independent States (NIS). Applications should be requested from and submitted to the US Department of State. Fellowships are granted for 1 year. Housing and several other benefits will be provided.
Eligibility: Must be US citizens 21 years of age, have language proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Czech, Romanian, Slovak, Hungarian, or Russian, currently enrolled in or have completed a program focused on Romanian or Slavic languages or area studies of the aforementioned countries.

The Fulbright offers 900 grants to approximately 75 nations for both graduate-level study and teaching positions.

International Student Identity Card (ISIC) Travel Grants Program

Provides funds to defray transportation costs for educational programs and service projects in developing nations.
Applicants must either attend a CIEE member institution (including BC) or participate in a program sponsored by CIEE or a CIEE member.
Awards will be made in April for participants who plan to leave for their project sites between June and December, and then again in November for those who wish to pursue their proposals between January and mid-July of the following year. The deadlines for the awards are at the end of March and October for the April and November awards respectively.

My Travel Bug, Inc. is a non-profit organization promoting International travel for educational purposes.
Small Fellowships are offered for students who can't afford to study or travel abroad.
Fellows are awarded stipends to travel overseas on self designed trips in exchange for publishing their travelogues and pictures on the website.

Each year, Rotary will select 70 scholars to study at one of the seven Rotary Centers worldwide. These Rotary World Peace Scholars will begin two-year master's-level degree programs in conflict resolution, peace studies, and international relations at one of the seven Rotary Centers.
Scholarships cover a 21-month period. This period includes two academic years as well as the three-month summer break between academic-year periods. Scholars are encouraged to pursue degree-related activities during their summer breaks, such as internships, volunteer work, and research.

The Rotary Foundation's oldest and best-known program is Ambassadorial Scholarships, established in 1947. Since that time, nearly 30,000 young people from 100 nations have studied abroad under its auspices. The primary objective of the scholarships program is to promote international understanding as the scholars are expected to serve as ambassadors of goodwill during the term of their scholarships. Three types of scholarships are currently available.
