VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Most of the volunteer opportunities in the Boston area have an emphasis on patient advocacy, and less on physician shadowing. Most all of the hospital based volunteer programs will place a student into a medical setting, but will have little contact with patients from a clinical perspective. An exception may be Spaulding Rehabilitation hospital, and EastBoston Health Center. However, do contact the organizations of interest to you because they often will try and tailor an opportunity to your interests and needs.
