- Include the four digit zip code on your database. Keep databases in "approved for automation format."
- Ask the mailer to recommend the most efficient way to maintain and relay your database information.
- When inserting pieces, try to limit the number of pieces being inserted. Most inserting equipment can insert up to six piece into one envelope, size 9x12 or smaller. However, costs are calculated per piece.
- Consider using wallet-flap envelopes, where cost effective, instead of a standard envelope and a separate reply slip (The flap on the envelope can be removed and used as a reply).
